Change Your Thinking And Transform Your Life

Maybe the most important mental and spiritual principles ever discovered is that “you become what you think about most of the time” (Brian Tracy)  The result is simply when you change your thinking you can transform your life.

Understanding that your mind is extraordinarily powerful and knowing your thoughts control and determine almost everything that happens to you can change your life.

I also want to share 2 Universal Laws:

1.  The Law of Belief – “Whatever you believe, with conviction, becomes your reality.”  Meaning that you always act in a manner consistent with your deepest and most intensely held beliefs.  It doesn’t matter whether they are true or not.

2.  The Law of Attraction – says that you are a “living magnet” and that “you invariably attract into your life the people, ideas, opportunities, and circumstances in harmony with our dominate thoughts.”

There are many other universal laws but those 2 seem appropriate for this post.

Something to recognize is that it’s all in your head.

One of the best ways to start changing your thinking and  the way you look at the world is to take in content that will help you think differently. Personal development,  motivational, and inspirational books are all things that will help your mind start to work a little differently, and change its internal process bit by bit.

You may not necessarily need to take what you read to heart, but just exposing yourself to that form of content is enough to get your brain working differently.

Maybe you need to change your inner voice.

Think about the ways you talk to yourself. In the morning when you’re getting ready, or when you’re cooking dinner in the evening. How about after your boss comes after you with a minor mistake that was made? Or when your spouse is upset about something that isn’t being done at home? Think about the kind of language you use when you talk to yourself after these experiences. Do you use negative words and chastise yourself? Or do you say you’ll try again harder, and that it’s no big deal?

Step outside your own head for a moment and think about how you would react if these same experiences were happening to a loved one. Sort of hits home doesn’t it?
